As you’ve likely seen in the news and on social media, the number of COVID cases in Barron County has been on the rise for the past several weeks. The Barron County Public Health updated our Current Risk category to Red, and has decreased the recommended gathering size (find info & updates from the Barron County Public Health Department HERE.

As we continue to navigate this pandemic together, the reality is that many ministries at Red Cedar will be effected differently. Take a look below for updated information about what being part of the Red Cedar community could look like for you in this season!

We are thankful that we live in a country where our government officials acknowledge the importance of religious practices and community, and we do not want to forsake gathering together (Hebrews 10:25). At the same time, it is our heart to be as creative as we can and to take as many precautions as we can, to prevent any further outbreaks in this community.

For that reason, our staff and volunteers have been working incredibly hard over the last few months to make our church service accessible to you, wherever you are. We also want to make it easy for you to invite friends and people in your circles who are searching for Jesus.

Beginning Jan 30/31, we will be offering a Mask Required service on Sunday at 9am. We are excited to offer this service for members of our church family and community who have been able to worship in person for several months. Click HERE for details about what a "Mask Required Service" looks like.

My Red Cedar Rooms
If you don't feel comfortable worshipping with a large group of people, but you find yourself in need of connection and community, you might be interested in My Red Cedar Rooms. We are working to connect small groups of less than 10 people, who will gather to watch services and worship together. Email Pastor Jeff if you’d like more information!

Archived Messages
Messages will continue to be archived and posted at redcedarchurch.com/sermons.

In-person services will continue at both our Rice Lake Campus and Ladysmith Red Cedar Room, at limited COVID capacity and with spatially-distant seating. Masks and social distancing are highly recommended, and our cleaning procedures will continue to reflect CDC guidelines.

As the LED screen at our Pavilion does not fare well in Wisconsin winter temperatures, we have brought it down for the season and Car Church is closed for the winter. Stay tuned for information about Pavilion events in the spring!

RC Kids weekend programming is back! To best serve you and your family, we’re asking families to pre-register each child that will be checking in to RC Kids. You can find the link to pre-register on the RC Kids Facebook page, or by visiting redcedarchurch.com/rckids!

Our goal is to make RC Kids an environment where every kid is WELCOME, and every kid is SAFE. When your family arrives this weekend, you’ll notice a few changes to the RC Kids environment. We’re taking these precautions to keep your kids and family safe- not only because of Covid-19, but also as we enter cold and flu season. For more information, visit redcedarchurch.com/rckids, or email Interim Children's Ministry Director, Jody at jody@redcedarchurch.com.

At YTHX, we’ve made the decision that we will not meet for our regular Wednesday night gatherings while Barron County remains in the Red risk category. With weekly numbers between 120-130 and regular programming based around both large group and small group activities, YTHX has been an environment where we have found it difficult to enforce social distancing guidelines.

Pastor Timothy and his team already have some creative ideas for how to continue YTHX while we wait for cases to subside in the county- both in smaller groups, and online! Stay in the loop about YTHX programming by following them on Facebook or Instagram. Questions or concerns? Email Pastor Timothy at timothy@redcedarchurch.com.

As our Red Cedar Groups tend to be smaller in number, groups will continue to meet. If we’ve learned anything since March, it’s that community is important. Having relationships and connecting with each other is incredibly important for our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. God created us for relationship- so if you’re feeling that the past few months have left you searching for friendships, relationships or community, visit redcedarchurch.com/groups for more information about getting involved with a group!

All Groups (Life Groups, Focus Groups, Freedom Groups, Bible Studies) should contact your specific Group Leader for arrangements. If your Group Leader is unavailable or you aren’t sure who to contact, email Pastor Jeff jeffelmquist@redcedarchurch.com!

The church building will remain open for appointments, care appointments and group meetings. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to your ministry leader or drop us a line at hello@redcedarchurch.com.

Please email any general questions to hello@redcedarchurch.com. Prayer requests can be sent to prayer@redcedarchurch.com. For emergency pastoral needs, call 715-931-0000.

Psalm 91:14-16

The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”
